Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern the contractual relationship between Fluentia (FAYET Margaux, 4 rue du Moulin d'Eau, 63200 Riom, France) and any customer wishing to purchase language courses offered on the fluentia.fr website.
2. Services offered
Fluentia offers online language courses (one-to-one, duo or group), delivered by qualified teachers. The detailed terms of each offer are described on the website's offers page.
3. How lessons work
- Lessons offered by Fluentia are delivered 100% online.
- Lessons are currently one-to-one and take place by video call.
- The standard lesson duration is 60 minutes.
- The trial lesson is 40 minutes long.
- Students can choose their teacher when booking.
4. Pricing
Course prices are displayed in euros including all taxes on the offers page. Fluentia reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Courses are charged at the price in effect at the time of order.
5. Order and payment
The customer selects the desired offer and pays via our secure payment provider (Stripe). Payment is due in full at the time of booking. The order is confirmed after payment validation. Lessons are only accessible after payment. Payment is made online by card when purchasing a lesson pack.
Packs have a limited validity period:
- Start pack: valid for 30 days from the date of purchase
- Boost pack: valid for 60 days from the date of purchase
- Intensive pack: valid for 90 days from the date of purchase
Unused lesson credits after the validity date cannot be extended or refunded.
No refunds are given.
However, if a problem occurs due to the teacher (absence or major technical issue), the lesson credit will be recredited to the student's account.
6. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the customer has 14 days from the date of purchase to exercise their right of withdrawal, provided the lesson has not yet started. To exercise this right, the customer must notify their decision by email to margaux.fyt12@gmail.com.
7. Cancellation and rescheduling
A student may cancel or reschedule a lesson up to 4 hours before the scheduled time. If cancellation occurs less than 4 hours before the lesson or if the student does not attend, the lesson will be considered as having taken place and will be deducted from the pack.
If the teacher is absent or unable to deliver the lesson, it will not be deducted and may be rescheduled.
8. Liability
Fluentia is committed to doing everything possible to ensure the quality of its lessons. In the event of a lesson being cancelled by Fluentia, a reschedule or refund will be offered to the customer. Fluentia cannot be held responsible for service interruptions due to technical issues beyond its control (internet connection, power cuts, etc.).
9. Personal data
Data collected when placing an order is processed in accordance with our Privacy policy.
Students' personal information is strictly confidential. Fluentia is committed to protecting personal data and will never sell or share it with third parties.
10. Lateness
Students are asked to log in at the scheduled time. If a student is late, the lesson will end at the originally scheduled time so as to respect teachers' schedules.
11. Teaching materials
- Fluentia provides teaching materials to support learning.
- Lessons may be recorded only by the teacher for pedagogical follow-up.
- Students are not allowed to record lessons themselves.
12. Intellectual property
All teaching content provided by Fluentia (documents, exercises, lesson materials, videos, recordings) is the exclusive property of the school. This content is for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, sold or redistributed without authorisation.
13. Acceptance of the terms
Any lesson booking implies full acceptance of these terms.
14. Applicable law and disputes
These GTCS are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the customer may use conventional mediation or any alternative dispute resolution method. Failing amicable resolution, the dispute shall be brought before the competent courts.
